When I turn it on, the word 'GARMIN' appears, then the warning about not operating it whilst driving, then the wording 'Can't Unlock Maps' comes up, with an 'OK' box underneath. If I touch 'OK' then 'no detailed maps that support routing' appears. If I press my 'favourites' then it just says 'No Map Data Available'. Whatever have I done? Hacking a gps to get into root, customize it to be a mini tablet? So I have an old garmin nuvi 850 gps. I'd love to be able to hack it to customize it to do pretty much whatever. The ultimate goal would be to be able to use it as a monitor with my raspberry pi if possible, but if.
